Minutes
and Matters arising:
‘Members

The
‘members only’ password for the website was written incorrectly. It should
be ‘cibma09’ . The members list was updated 2 months ago, but members were
unsure how to access their area on the website. RP could not help and members
asked that Liz J – please clarify this [Action
- LJ].
R
P’s tame financial advisor [J Elsigood] will now give his presentation later
and RP proposed Jan 2010, 2nd week.
It
was felt that the possible inaccuracies referred to in the last minutes should
have been identified.
J Pidgeon had confirmed that he had sent a letter of thanks to M Bushell at J
Hill and his presentation was available on-line if anyone wanted it.
Treasurer’s
report:
The
treasurer had not been able to provide a detailed report for this meeting.
Members asked if he could provide a report with details for the next meeting,
preferably emailed in advance. [Action –
MD].
The
treasurer, who also produces the membership list, asked members to note that M
Dadd’s phone number is shown incorrectly in the current list. It should be
01730 – 893579.
Business
Opportunities: There
were no new leads. The follow-up to Terry Wiles’ request was unknown.
Web

RP rang
S Crosbie
[Pensions] to query this, as the wording in this year’s contract was
different to last year’s. It depends on Syngenta’s interpretation and S.
Crosbie will reply to RP. RP was asked to report back to AMBIC and to Ken Drake,
the pensioner visitor, for information.
[Roger,
if I have not explained this properly, please send out your own note and if
there is now anything more we should know]
Future
meetings venue- MO
has the view that the Noah’s Ark food is no longer good value and maybe we
should consider somewhere else as a ’base’, e.g. Kings Arms, Duke of
Cumberland
, Red Lion. The meeting agreed to consider alternatives. MD will discuss with
the Mill Tavern, Camelsdale and other members should make their local
assessments. To be discussed at future meetings.
T

asked that a seminar at the SCI on 14th May, organised by Alan
Baylis, be mentioned to the meeting. Any member welcome.
