A
member, in the conduct of his/her business, shall respect the
interests of clients and the general public.
It is the member's personal responsibility to honour
assurances and deal fairly and honestly with clients and the
public at all times.

member shall not knowingly disseminate false or misleading
information and shall use due diligence to avoid doing so
inadvertently. The
member has a positive duty to maintain integrity and accuracy.
He/she shall not misrepresent themselves or their business
as having qualifications, experience, skills or facilities that
they do not possess.
A
member shall not disclose, except upon the order of a Court of
competent jurisdiction, or make use of information given or
obtained in confidence from employer or client, past or present,
for personal gain or otherwise without prior consent.

A
member shall not engage in any practice, activity or conduct,
which would bring into disrepute the Ambic network or injure the
professional reputation and/or business of another member.

A
member having a financial interest in an organisation shall not
recommend its use to clients or other Ambic members without
declaring that interest.

A
member shall not, with intent to further his/her interests, offer
or give any reward other than recognised commission to any
individual or organisation if such action is against the public
interest.

Membership
of the Ambic network may be withdrawn if, on investigation of a
complaint, the elected Committee find that in their opinion a
member is guilty of unprofessional conduct. This is defined
as:
a) Being guilty of conduct likely to bring discredit on the
Ambic organisation and/or its members.
b) Being sentenced to a term of imprisonment by a Court of
competent jurisdiction.
c) Providing services which fall short of reasonable
professional standards.
d) Being guilty of any breach of this Code of Conduct or any
other regulations laid down from time by the Committee.
e) Failing without good
reason to assist the Ambic Committee in the investigation of a
complaint.

A
member who knowingly causes, or permits another person or
organisation to act inconsistently with the code or is party to
such action shall personally be deemed in breach of it.
