• We offer an independent technical service which includes expert advice and guidance on the development and production of new generation environmentally-friendly agrochemical and biopesticide formulations. 
   
  This includes a wide knowledge of all formulation types, adjuvants and processes as well as physical/chemical test methods operating to GLP, ISO 9000 (BS 5750) and meeting the rapidly changing standards being set by Safety, Environmental and Regulatory Authorities.

• Adjuvants for enhanced activity (reduced dose rates) and seed treatment formulations are also a special area of expertise.

Alan Knowles was a senior formulation chemist with a multinational agrochemical company for 20 years, and he has been running FORM-AK Formulation Consultancy Services since 1992. During this time FORM-AK has consulted with a number of well known agrochemical companies and adjuvant suppliers.

Alan Knowles is an approved agrochemical consultant with the United Nations (UNIDO) with special experience in China, India, S.Korea and Ethiopia.

Alan Knowles is the editor of a book entitled "Chemistry and Technology of Agrochemical Formulations", published by Kluwer Academic Publishers, The Netherlands in 1998. He is also the author of a techno-commercial report entitled “Trends in Pesticide Formulations”, published by Agrow Reports, UK in 2001.  The Agrow Report has been revised and updated with the title "New Developments in Crop Protection Product Formulation: 2005 Edition".
